ANNABEL LEE

It was many and many a year ago, 
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and beloved by me. 

She was a child and I was a child, 
In this kingdom by the sea, 
But we loved with a love that was more than love 
I and my Annbel Lee- 
With a love that the winged seraphs of Heaven
Coveted her and me. 
 
And this was the reason that, long ago, 
In this kingdom by the sea, 
A wind blew out of a cloud by night 
Chilling my Annabel Lee;
So that her highbdrn kinsmen came 
And bore her away from me, 
To shut up in a sepulchre
In this Kingdom by the sea. 
 
The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, 
Went envying her and me;-
Yes! that was the reason(as all men know,In this-kingdom by the sea) 
That the wind came out of the cloud, chilling 
And killing my Annabel Lee. 

But our love it was stronger by far than the love 
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we- 
And neither the angels in Heaven above 
Nor the demonds down under the sea, 
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:- 

 For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams 
Of the beatiful Annabel Lee; 
And the stars never rise but I see the bright eyes 
Of the beatiful Annabel Lee: 
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side 
Of my darling, my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea-
In her tomb by the side of the sea. 

애너벨 리 
 
오랜 오랜 옛날에
바닷가 어떤 왕국에 
한 소녀가 살았소, 당신도 알꺼요.
애너벨리라고 하는 
이 소녀는 다른 아무 생각없이 살았다오
나를 사랑하고 나의 사랑을 받는 것 외엔. 
 
소녀도 어렸고 나도 어린애였답니다. 
이 바닷가 왕국에서, 
하지만 우린 상랑보다 더 고귀한 상랑을 했다오.
나와 애너벨리는- 
우리들의 사랑은 천국의 날개 돋친 천사가 
소녀와 나를 시기할 정도였소. 

그래 그것이 이유였답니다. 
오래전에 이 바닷가 왕국에, 
밤사이 바람이 구름에서 불어와 
나의 애너벨리에게 한기를 주게 된, 
그래서 소녀의 천국의 친척들이 와서, 
나에게서 소녀를 앗아가 
무덤속에 가두었답니다. 
이 바닷가 왕국에 있는.

천국에서 우리의 반 만큼도 행복치 못한 천사들이 
소녀와 나를 시기했죠.
그렇다오!-그거이 이유였다오. 
(이 왕국 사람들은 모르는 사람이 없오) 
바람이 구름에서 불어와, 
나의 애너벨리에게 오한을 주어 숨지게 한 것을 

하지만 우리들의 사랑은
어른들의 사랑보다 훨씬 강했고
현인들의 사랑보다 훨씬 강했소

 그래서 천국의 천사들도 
바다 밑의 악마들도
나의 영혼과 아름다운 애너벨리의 영혼을
떼어 놓을 수는 없었소. 

그도 그럴것이 달이 비칠 때면 언제나 난
아름다운 애너벨리의 꿈응 꾸고
별들이 뜰 때면 언제나 난 
아름다운 애너벨리의 빛나는 눈동자를 생각하오.
그렇기에, 밤새도록, 나는 곁에 눕는답니다.
내 사랑,내 사랑, 내 생명, 내 신부 곁에, 
그곳 바닷가 무덤에 있는

 바닷가 소녀의 무덤에.
