Since lambskin has always been a part of human life and used throughout the history, both medical scientists and medical schools of universities having great success in their field have been urged to realize researches regaring the impacts of lambskin on human health. These researches still continue in various medical schools around the world. Being one of the most trustworthy and notable univeresity of our country, Ege University had also carried out several researches on this subject recently with the contribution of our company. Results were always positive. Before mentioning other researches carried out around the world, let's talk about a research which was highly pleasing for our country. I'm talking about the research entitled "EFFICIENCY OF AIR-FLUIDIZED BED AND LAMBSKIN APPLICATIONS IN PREVENTION OF PRESSURE SORES" carried out by Dr. Sezgi ÇINAR and Chief Nurse Nilay SAĞNAK from Marmara University. "Pressure sores were developed in five patients of the control group being hospitalized on an air-fluidized bed and subjected to position changes from time to time as well as in another four patients which weren't able to be subjected to position changes. It was detected that the use of air-fluidized bed and application of position changes aren't as efficient as lambskin in preventing the formation of pressure sores. Accordingly, we can say that lambskin application is 100% efficient in preventing pressure pores by preventing frictions and irritations of bedridden patients and enabling the skin to breathe. IN CONCLUSION; use of steriod/anti-inflammatory drugs and oedema may cause pressure sores and lambskin is a natural defense against pressure sore. It is recommended that necessary precautions should be taken against oedema in bedridden patients and that the use of lambskin should be generalized. It is estimated that two billion dollars of spending is being made now per year only in the United States. Besides, we should also take into consideration that it is impossible to measure the pain that almost all bedridden patients and elderly people suffer because of this problem. In a research report prepared in MEDICAL SCHOOL OF CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY (LANCET), it is indicated that premature babies put on MEDICAL LAMBSKIN recover 60% faster in comparison with babies placed in incubators.

This fact has also been reported by a different research carried out by BABY CARE AND DEVELOPMENT GROUP OF CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY through babies placed in incubators in special baby care unit of CAMBRIDGE MATERNITY HOSPITAL (UK) and a totally different group of babies taken care of by their families in their homes.

DR. MARTIN RICHARDS AND STEPHAN SCOTT SUMMARIZE THEIR REPORTS AS FOLLOWS;

34 babies with low birth weigth placed in incubators were categorized randomly by putting some of them on MEDICAL LAMBSKIN and other on cotton beds during their regular care under normal conditions. When babies were recovered, periodical weight increases were higher for the group put on lambskin in comparison with the control group put on cotton. According to all weight increase tables including illness periods, it was detected that babies placed on MEDICAL LAMBSKIN develop much better and gain more weight than babies in the other group. In addition to the research carried out in special care unit, the result reported by researchers in the report of the research carried out in homes of different families; we have carried out a pilot research on normal babies taken care of in their homes in addition to the research carried out in the hospital on premature babies. We gave MEDICAL LAMBSKIN to a certain part of families with equal number of babies in order for them to use it whenever they want and journals to keep a record of the behaviours of their babies. We wanted from the families with babies to be taken care of under normal conditions and normal beds to keep a record of the behaviours of their babies by giving same type of journals. When all data regarding the babies taken care of on MEDICAL LAMBSKIN and babies for whom skin wasn't used during the care were compared, absolute results of this research show that babies taken care of on MEDICAL LAMBSKIN WERE HEAVIER, THAT THEY SLEPT BETTER, THAT THEY WERE LESS IRRITATED, THAT THEY SHOWED LESS ILLNESS SYMPTOMES AND THAT THEY WERE FED BETTER. Thereby, their development charts and weight records were always positive.

We have obtained certain data regarding bed units with synthetic fiber and imitation wool mattresses.
